- Long season baby leaf.
- Compact variety that is slow to bolt and is tolerant to yellowing and disease.
- Very versatile, it can be grown for baby leaf all the year round (with protection) and produces mature heads from early summer to autumn.
Sow & Grow: Outdoors: sow thinly, February-October where they are to crop, 1.5cm (½") deep, directly into finely-prepared, well-dug, fertile soil, which has already been watered. Sow May to August for mature heads or baby leaf. Allow 40cm (16") between rows. Seedlings usually appear in 14-21 days. Keep well watered in dry spells. Harvest unthinned as baby leaves, or thin to 25cm (10") apart to produce mature plants. Regular sowings, made every two to three weeks, will ensure a continuous supply. Baby leaf crops can also be sown February to May and September to October under cloches or fleece. Harvest: mature heads between June and October and baby leaf from April to December.
