- Early, finger or full-size.
- A delicious early variety good as 'finger' carrots. The blunt-ended roots have an outstanding flavour.
- A Best Buy variety as recommended by the Gardening Press and Consumer Groups.
- Recommended by Joe Swift in BBC Gardeners World Magazine (January 2015 edition): “A proven fast grower that does well in most conditions. It is pretty much guaranteed to mature in 12 weeks, so if sown in March you’ll be pulling these carrots in May. Classic light and crunchy texture. I’ve always had great success with them either in pots or a raise bed, which helps keep the carrot fly away.”
Sow & Grow: Outdoors: sow thinly, March-June, where they are to crop, 1.5cm (½") deep, directly into finely-prepared, light, fertile soil, which has already been watered. Allow 30cm (1') between rows. Early sowings may benefit cloche protection. Seedlings usually appear in 14-21 days. Thin by harvesting young carrots evenly, allowing remainder to grow on. Water well until plants are established. Harvest: May-October.
