Grow your own with a little help from us..!

Grow your Own

We may still be in the depths of Winter, but it's the perfect time to plan what veg you want to grow this year. For an early crop, you can get some plants started in a greenhouse or even on a windowsill. Here at Tony Almond, we've put together a great selection of vegetable seeds, so whether you have a traditional vegetable patch or just a few pots, start imagining the fresh salad, veggies and beautiful flowers you could grow.

Great for pots

Having very little space need not be a problem. Herbs such as basil and thyme will grow well in pots and they will be equally happy on your kitchen window sill or in the garden. Salad leaves are another good choice for growing in pots. If you intend to plant these out later, why not make the job easier and plant in a seed tray.

Peat free compact discs

Sow now, plant out later

A greenhouse gives you lots of scope to plan ahead. Peat free compact discs are a great way to grow seeds indoors, then plant out your seedlings without disturbing their roots. This is particularly useful for peas, beans and tomatoes which do not like to be disturbed. Fibre pots are also useful as they will degrade once they are planted in the soil.
